Students’ routines have completely changed since the schools are in lockdown globally due to the pandemic. Every student had to keep up with the distance education (online education) system, which they had never experienced before. The development of new communication technologies enabled the creation of virtual classes and made it possible to conduct exams in these environments. However, students may encounter some difficulties in distance education. It may be more difficult for primary school students to adapt to the changing system than high school and university students. In this research, we will give brief information about how distance education has shaped since its beginning. Afterward, we will evaluate the positive and negative sides of this system and its impact on students under isolation, where the traditional education method is replaced with online education. The research consists of 30 students between the ages of 6 and 14 and is conducted with their parents by focus group interview technique. It aims to analyze the experiences of the students during online education with one-on-one interviews. “Interactional approach” has been used to support the concept of distance education.
