Viticulture is economically conducted within 30°–50° north and south latitudes, involving Turkey, with its favorable climate zone (Yüksek, 2008). Turkey is a country with very suitable conditions for the cultivation of Vitis vinifera, known as the grapevine. Due to this property, Turkey ranks fifth in the world with its 401-thousand-hectare vineyard area (FAO, 2019a; TÜİK, 2021b). However, only a very small amount (2–3 %) of grapes grown in fertile Turkish vineyards are processed as wine and the rest is evaluated as fresh grapes, dry grapes, grape molasses, or grape leather (TÜİK, 2020b).
