University of Nottingham Ningbo China: High-Quality Education and Cultivation of High-Quality International Talents—Preliminary Examination of Liberal Arts Education

Abstract

As mentioned in the preface of this book, four of the five elements of liberal arts education are well done in Britain. Ningbo Nottingham University is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China. It was approved and started to enroll students in the second year after the promulgation of the regulations of Sino-foreign cooperative universities in China (2003), being a pilot site. On the occasion of celebrating its tenth birthday, the readers will be introduced to its achievements and shortcomings in the process of implementing liberal arts education. “The quality of a university is first reflected on the quality of students.” Therefore, we focus on introducing our students to the readers.
