Buhalterinės teorijos apskaita ir praktika (Accounting  theory and practice)

Focus and scope

Publishes articles, which analyse topical theoretical and practical issues related to accounting, audit and analysis, which reveal the influence of a constantly changing environment on the development of these spheres, evaluation of their scientific development and trends, problems of the application of the methods, processes, methodologies and other aspects as well as recent scientific researches. The journal also publishes researches related to accounting, audit and analysis spheres (i.e. management, business administration, financial management), enlarging the possibilities of application, coherency and development in other directions of these spheres.

Ekonomika (Economics)

Focus and scope

Dedicated to publishing articles analysing the current economy, sectoral situation and development of business strategies for local and foreign markets, which contributes directly to Central and Eastern European economic development.

Acta Paedagogica Vilnensia

Focus and scope

Acta Paedagogica Vilnensia is a peer-reviewed journal with rigorous academic standards for the selection of publications. The journal publishes original empirical and theoretical studies and analyses in education that constitute significant contributions to the understanding and/or improvement of educational processes.

Acta Paedagogica Vilnensia is also open for interdisciplinary debates and publishes papers on contemporary issues, such as a pedagogy of difference, gender education, non-formal education, media education, sustainable development, cultural minorities in education. Current education-related issues and problems are explored also from sociological, anthropological, psychological, and other perspectives.

Informacijos mokslai (Information sciences)

Focus and scope 

Is a scientific journal that covers a wide range of topics from information and communication field: topics of information and knowledge society, its legislative, technological, cultural and economic aspects, information and knowledge management questions, theoretical and practical researches on organisational communication management, gender communication, investigations of media management, media culture, international and intercultural communication.

Only original scholarly articles and surveys discussing all kinds of problems of communication and information, book reviews and academic chronicles can be accepted and published.

Knygotyra (Book science)

Focus and scope

The journal seeks to promote interdisciplinary research on the book and digital media culture, including all the varied possibilities of textual communication and related issues. Topics the journal covers include the theory and methodology of book science, book history and historiography, traditional and digital publishing, research on media literacy and reading, book art, bibliophily, studies in printed and digital heritage, book sociology, and closely related topics from the humanities and social sciences: epigraphy, codicology, the history of the library and librarianship, bibliography, archival studies and records management, etc.

The academic quarterly Politologija (Eng. Politology) is a peer-reviewed political science journal with the longest publishing record in Lithuania. It is the main academic periodical in Lithuania encompassing all subjects of political science and international relations and interdisciplinary topics.

Psichologija (Psychology)

Focus and scope

Dedicated to the topics of all fields of psychology and interdisciplinary research. 

Socialinė teorija, empirija, politika ir praktika (Social theory, empirics, politics and practice)

Focus and scope

That is the first scientific journal about social work and social policy in post-communist Lithuania. Original, peer-reviewed, scientific articles about social work and social policy are published in the journal. 

Teisė (Law)

Publishes articles on theoretical and practical issues of law.

 


Humanities

Archaeologia Lituana

Focus and scope

The target audience of the journal includes Lithuanian and international research community, a staff of museums and heritage institutions, students of archaeology and people interested in archaeology and prehistory. The authors of the articles are archeologists from Lithuania, the Baltic region and other European and other countries. The journal publishes original scientific articles focusing on the history, theory and methodology of archaeology and other issues, including data of researched objects. Considerable attention is devoted to the issues of Baltic identity, new research and discoveries and the publication of yet unpublished findings of previous research significant to Lithuanian and Baltic archaeology. The journal also welcomes submissions of articles analysing the results of interdisciplinary research and application of new methods in archaeology.

Kalbotyra (Linguistics)

Focus and scope

Focuses on synchronic and diachronic research into various aspects of language studies and the ones addressing cross-linguistic issues. 

Lietuvos istorijos studijos (Studies of Lithuania`s history)

Focus and scope

The periodical publishes information on the latest research conducted by history researchers; it also provides information that once faded into oblivion and was discovered anew, such as historical documents, memoirs and writings by historians of the former epochs. The journal covers topics of sociocultural and political history, cultural anthropology, heritage conservation and archaeology. The journal also publishes scientific articles and lectures by foreign historians, the aim of which is to investigate the past of the Lithuanian nation and its historical development. Besides, the periodical carries introductions and reviews on the latest scientific research on Lithuania, conducted both in our country and elsewhere; it publishes the chronicle of academic life at Vilnius university and of the academic activities of relations.

Literatūra (Literature)

Focus and scope

The journal publishes scholarly and critical articles on Lithuanian and World literatures, and the Classics and cultural studies, targeted at scholarly and academic community. It appears annually and regularly (4 issues per year). Each issue is numbered and devoted to the specific subject: Lithuanian literature, the Classics, Russian literature, and Western literatures. 

Problemos

Focus and scope

Problemos is a philosophical journal publishing original scholarly articles and research papers devoted to all kinds of problems in philosophy. The journal also publishes translations of the original texts, book reviews, and the chronicle of academic life. The submissions are subject to double-blind peer-review by two scholars.

Respectus Philologicus

Focus and scope

Respectus Philologicus is a professional, open access double blind peer-reviewed bi-annual international journal that aims to involve scholars from around the world. The journal provides a platform for different theoretical and thematic approaches to the following humanitarian research fields: linguistic researches, issues of literary narratives and contexts, the influence of advertising discourse, theory and practice of translation, audiovisual research. As the scientific journal is multidisciplinary with linguistics integrating different disciplines, it promotes cooperation between scholars both in Lithuania and abroad who are interested in different facets of language. The journal is of great significance not only on a regional level but also worldwide.

Slavistica Vilnensis

Focus and scope

The journal covers the following topics: Palaeoslavonic studies and Slavic etymology; Baltic-Slavonic linguistic relations; the Slavic heritage of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania; Slavic dialectology; the history and modern situation of Slavic languages; comparative research; training in foreign languages;translation / interpretation; other fields of Slavonic studies. Taikomoji kalbotyra (Applied Linguistics)

Focus and scope

Aims to publish articles of theoretical and empirical research, précis, reviews of books and articles, and academic essays on issues of applied linguistics. The journal welcomes contributions that focus on sociolinguistics, first and second language acquisition, language testing, psycholinguistics, multilingualism, language policy and planning, intercultural communication, discourse analysis and pragmatics, lexicography, language for special purposes, forensic linguistics, sign languages and other areas of applied linguistics.

Sociologija. Mintis ir veiksmas (Sociology. Thought and action)

Focus and scope

The journal is dedicated to the critical study of contemporary social and cultural change – including the shifting status of sociology itself – from a variety of perspectives. It covers subjects such as social theory, social research and research methodology, political sociology, gender issues, nationalism, sociology of art, social stratification and social identities. In addition, the journal is open to contributions that engage with wider debates within and across social psychology, philosophy, history, political science and anthropology, and provides a forum for reviews of recently published or translated sociological texts.
