Review of 'Ecosystem services as a post-normal field of science'

The relationship of post-normal science to ecosystem services shows how a more integral evaluation of this topic can be made by considering, for example, academic and non-academic knowledge, on which the most recent studies are currently focusing.

The clarification of the post-normal science approach explains that 
that in complex systems all knowledge is uncertain and that there is no clear boundary between values and facts which makes a reflection on scientific knowledge which cannot be taken for granted, but is susceptible to changes and arguments that contribute to its enhancement.
