      Effects of state, trait anxiety and sleep quality on the attitude of seeking psychological help among college graduates

          Abstract

          Objective To investigate university graduated students’ state and trait anxiety and attitude towards seeking psychological help, and to explore their relationships with sleep quality.

          Methods Totally 800 university graduated students were selected, and their state anxiety, trait anxiety, attitude towards seeking psychological help and sleep quality were investigated. The relationships between their state anxiety, trait anxiety, attitude towards seeking psychological help and sleep quality were analyzed by two classification Logistic regression analysis method in the subjects, respectively.           Results The detection rates of state and trait anxiety were 48.63% and 49.50% respectively. There were no significant differences in the detection rates of state and trait anxiety between different genders and different majors anxiety and characteristic anxiety among different gender, different professional status ( P>0.05). The detection rates of state and trait anxiety of subjects from town were 56.90% and 56.18% respectively, which were higher than 36.78% and 39.51% in city respectively, with statistical significant differences (χ 2 = 31.39, 22.29, P<0.01). The results of each dimension of attitude towards seeking psychological help and total score were negatively related to state and trait anxiety ( OR = 0.66-0.90, P<0.05), which were positively related to each dimension of sleep quality and total score ( OR = 1.71-3.67, P<0.05).

          Conclusion College graduates have state and trait anxiety, and the detection rates of state and trait anxiety of subjects from town, and they are related to attitude towards seeking psychological help and sleep quality.

          Abstract

          【摘要】 目的 调查大学毕业生状态与特质焦虑、寻求心理帮助态度及其与睡眠质量的关系, 为改善大学毕业生心 理状况提供参考。 方法 从安徽省随机抽取 20 所高校 800 名大学毕业生, 对状态焦虑、特质焦虑、寻求心理帮助态度、睡 眠质量进行调查。采用二分类 Logistic 回归分析方法, 分析大学生状态焦虑、特质焦虑、寻求心理帮助态度与睡眠质量的关 系。 结果 大学生状态与特质焦虑检出率分别为 48.63%, 49.50%; 不同性别、不同专业学生状态焦虑、特征焦虑检出率差 异均无统计学意义 ( P 值均>0.05), 乡镇学生的状态焦虑、特征焦虑检出率分别为 56.90%, 56.18%, 高于城市的 36.78%, 39.51%, 差异均有统计学意义 (χ 2 值分别为 31.39, 22.29, P 值均<0.01)。二分类 Logistic 回归分析显示, 寻求帮助态度各维 度评价结果及总分均与状态焦虑、特质焦虑呈负关联 ( OR = 0.66~0.90, P 值均<0.05), 睡眠质量各维度评价结果及总分均 与状态焦虑、特质焦虑呈正关联 ( OR =1.71~3.67, P 值均<0.05)。 结论 大学毕业生存在状态与特质焦虑, 来自乡镇的学 生状态与特质焦虑检出率明显偏高, 均与寻求心理帮助态度及睡眠质量有关。
