      Producción de callos e inducción de plantas de Digitaria eriantha Avanzada INTA in vitro

          Abstract

          Digitaria eriantha Steudel subesp. eriantha, especie forrajera de origen sudafricano y adaptada a la zona semiárida argentina, fue regenerada y propagada in vitro con el fin de producir germoplasma de mayor resistencia a bajas temperaturas. Diferentes tejidos, medios de desinfección y de cultivo in vitro fueron probados. Se logró establecer callos friables los cuales se trasladaron a medio para inducción de plantulas lográndose obtener y aclimatar plantas con buen desarrollo radical y foliar los cuales fueron mantenidos a 20ºC.

          Translated abstract

          Digitaria eriantha Steudel subesp. eriantha, forage pasture of Southafrican origin adapted to the semiarid region of Argentina, was regenerated and propagated in vitro with the objective of production germoplasm with greater resistance to low temperatures. Different tissues, disinfecting techniques and in vitro media were tried. Friable calli were established and transferred to plantule induction medium obtaining acclimatized plants with good root and foliar development which were maintainedat 20ºC.
