Abstract
Iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) affects millions of persons worldwide, and is associated
with impaired neurodevelopment in infants and children. Ferrous sulfate is the most
commonly prescribed oral iron despite iron polysaccharide complex possibly being better
tolerated.
