          Abstract

          RESUMEN El arte y la cultura se han constituido a través de la historia como expresiones que identifican al ser humano y cumplen la necesidad de incentivar su desarrollo cognitivo y emocional desde temprana edad. El objetivo general de este artículo fue determinar el rol fundamental que tiene la educación artística y cultural en la formación integral del niño en el contexto escolar. Se empleó una metodología de revisión bibliográfica, en donde la literatura seleccionada permitió, por un lado, comprender la importancia del aprovechamiento de esta materia en los contenidos curriculares mediante el trabajo conjunto de autoridades, docentes y especialistas. Por otro lado, se concluyó que es necesario revalorizar la presencia del arte y la cultura en la vida escolar del niño y reestructurar las políticas educativas con miras a mejorar y actualizar los contenidos relativos a este curso.

          Translated abstract

          ABSTRACT Throughout history, art and culture have been established as expressions that identify human beings and fulfill the need to stimulate the cognitive and emotional development of the human being from an early age. The general objective of this article was to determine the fundamental role that arts and cultural education plays in the integral development of children in the school context. A literature review methodology was used, the selected studies, on one hand, made it possible to understand the importance of using these subjects in the curricular contents through the collaborative work of authorities, teachers and specialists. On the other hand, it was concluded that it is necessary to revalue the presence of art and culture in children's school life and to restructure educational policies in order to improve and update the contents related to this field.

          RESUMO A arte e a cultura se constituíram ao longo da história como expressões que identificam o ser humano e atendem à necessidade de estimular seu desenvolvimento cognitivo e emocional desde cedo. O objetivo geral deste artigo é determinar o papel fundamental que a educação artística e cultural tem na formação integral da criança no contexto escolar. Foi utilizada uma metodologia de revisão bibliográfica, onde a literatura selecionada permitiu, por um lado, compreender a importância do aproveitamento desta temática nos conteúdos curriculares através do trabalho conjunto de autoridades, docentes e especialistas. Por outro lado, concluiu-se que é necessário revalorizar a presença da arte e da cultura na vida escolar da criança e reestruturar as políticas educativas com vista a melhorar e atualizar os conteúdos relacionados com este curso.

            Aprender a ser docente sin estar en las aulas: la COVID-19 como amenaza al desarrollo profesional del futuro profesorado

            Teachers in initial training who attend the Practicum find, in this period, a meaning for the teaching profession, awakening a reflective and critical attitude about what and how they do things, and therefore, shaping their teaching identity. However, in recent months, the training situation of future teachers has taken a turn due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The study carried out focused on inquiring, through a narrative research, how university students have perceived the period of practices they carried out through virtual teaching, as a consequence of the current health crisis. Among other results, the evidence showed that students developed insecurity feelings, melancholy and uncertainty in light of the new learning processes. On the other hand, by losing on-site classroom attendance and with it the essence of the practices, the training potential of the Practicum and the teaching professional identity of the students have been affected during these months, consequences that could affect their future professional practices.

              Artistas-docentes que aprenden a enseñar. Abrir espacios pedagógicos y transgredir dualidades

              Resumen Se presenta la experiencia de profesores en formación de Artes Visuales de la carrera de Pedagogía en Artes de la Universidad Católica Silva Henríquez de Chile -específicamente la realizada en el Taller Creativo-, con el objetivo de reflexionar sobre la formación que reciben estos artistas-docentes y cómo negocian los conflictos entre el arte y la educación. En el curso que se describe, los estudiantes desarrollaron tanto su obra artística como su línea de investigación creativa para aprender sobre las artes y su futuro quehacer docente. Se mostrará cómo el estudiantado aprende que la enseñanza de las artes no se halla desvinculada de la experiencia artística, ya que toman en cuenta sus intereses personales y los consideran relevantes para el aula. Este tránsito entre sus experiencias artísticas y docentes los configura con un amplio sentido crítico y político.
