          Abstract

Retinoschisis and retinal detachments are primarily differentiated based on characteristic examination findings. In diagnostically challenging cases, noncontact wide-field infrared imaging can help diagnosis and visualize the extent/margins of retinoschisis, retinal detachment, or combined schisis detachments by comparing reflectivity patterns.
