Objective To explore the feasibility of management mode of mobile message on the treatment supervision of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Lu′an City.
Methods The tuberculosis patients registered in 3 districts and 5 counties of Lu′an City in August, 2016 were randomly divided into the project group and control group. The control group only received the DOTS strategy and the project group received the supervision of mobile message on the basis of the DOTS. Then the treatment success rate and the treatment compliance after two months and at the end of the treatment were compared among two groups.
Results The treatment success rate ( P=0.029), the rate of recheck on time after two months ( P=0.006), the rate of regular medication at the end of the treatment ( P<0.001) and the rate of recheck on time at the end of the treatment ( P<0.001) of project group were all higher than those of control group. In patients of 60 years old and under, all indexs were statistically significant among two groups ( P<0.05), the effect of project group was more obvious than control group. In patients of over 60 years old, only the rate of withdrawal medicines at the end of the treatment of the project group was lower than the control group ( P=0.028), other indexes had no statistical difference ( P>0.05).
Conclusion The effect of management mode of mobile message on the treatment supervision of tuberculosis patients was obvious, especially among the tuberculosis patients of 60 years old and under.
