          Resumen El autor hace un estudio teórico general sobre la institución de la prescripción extintiva y concreta sus análisis en aspectos puntuales de los regímenes jurídicos de Chile, Colombia, Francia, Argentina y Uruguay.

          Abstract The author makes a general theoretical study about the institution of the extinguishing statute of limitations and concretizes his analysis in punctual aspects of the legal regimes of Chile, Colombia, France, Argentina and Uruguay.
