Abstract

Resumen: El presente trabajo analiza la agricultura por contrato como dispositivo regulador de las relaciones en la producción de caña de azúcar en Cuautla, Morelos. Para ello, se emplea la teoría general de sistemas complejos y el método etnográfico de la antropología social, pues de manera conjunta permiten elaborar un estudio etnográfico que describe la red de relaciones interdependientes entre componentes humanos y no humanos presentes en la industria azucarera; de suerte que la agricultura por contrato regula las relaciones entre elementos físicos y sociales de este sistema complejo.

Abstract: This essay analyzes the contract farming as regulating device of relationships in the sugar-cane production at Cuautla, Morelos. To do this, is employed the General Theory of Complex Systems and the ethnographic method of social anthropology, because both of them allow to build an ethnographic study that describe the interdependent relations network between human elements and non-human elements currents in the sugar-cane agribusiness; in such a way that the contact farming regulates the relationships between physical and social elements in this complex system.

Résumé: Cet article analyse l’agriculture contractuelle comme un instrument de régulation des relations dans la production de la canne à sucre, á Cuautla, à Morelos. Pour le faire, est utilisé la théorie générale des systèmes complexes et la méthode ethnographique de l’anthropologie sociale, car les deux permettent construire une étude ethnographique qui décrit le réseau de relations interdépendantes entre les éléments humains et non humains dans l’agro-industrie sucrière ; donc l’agriculture contractuelle régule les relations entre les éléments physiques et sociaux dans ce système complexe.
