          Abstract

Recent clinical studies of therapeutic neovascularization using angiogenic growth factors demonstrated smaller therapeutic effects than those reported in animal experiments. We hypothesized that nanoparticle (NP)-mediated cell-selective delivery of statins to vascular endothelium would more effectively and integratively induce therapeutic neovascularization.
