          Abstract

          Translated abstract

This investigation pretends to elaborate and valid the instruments to measure the variables of the climate organizational and the labor satisfaction on the government sector institution workers. The sample of this study is composed by 547 workers, members of 44 work groups and six organizations. In order to achieve the objective we proceeded to the application of a measurement scale for the climate organizational from Koys and Decottis (1991), and to measure the labor satisfaction an instrument was developed based on the questionnaires S21/26 (1990) and the S4/82 (1986) from Meliá et al. The results show that the instrument to measure the climate organizational and the labor satisfaction has an adequate reliability (more than 0.9) what implies that all the items really relate with the same range, and that there are clear differences between the persons on this common characteristics to the items. Regarding the instrument to measure labor satisfaction, the factor analysis shows six factors with a high reliability coefficient (between 0.8 and 0.9) The obtained results allow to decide that in this case in particular a sufficient and positive relation is presented between the variables that we are trying to measure. In joint the correlation between both kinds of variables, of climate organizational and labor satisfactions confirm that the validity of the sub-scales of the climate organizational because they answer to this very possible hypothesis.
