      System Realization of Broad Band Digital Beam Forming for Digital Array Radar

          Abstract

          Broad band Digital Beam Forming (DBF) is the key technique for the realization of Digital Array Radar (DAR). We propose the method of combination realization of the channel equalization and DBF time delay filter function by using adaptive Sample Matrix Inversion algorithm. The broad band DBF function is realized on a new DBF module based on parallel fiber optic engines and Field Program Gate Array (FPGA). Good performance is achieved when it is used to some radar products.
