Abstract

O filme Incêndios é interpretado à luz de temas caros para a Psicanálise: as questões relativas à origem, o poder da verdade, a transmissão psíquica transgeracional (silêncios, segredos, lutos não elaborados, o trabalho de ressignificação e reconstrução da história, o refúgio no silêncio ante a dor e o sofrimento indizível); a autora tece as diferenças entre a relação de Jocasta e Édipo nas mentiras; e a relação entre Nawal, mãe do bebê arrancado de seu ventre, o primogênito; que sofre a orfandade e só consegue ser alguém para alguém como torturador e atirador implacável. Seus filhos gêmeos, concebidos na prisão ao ser estuprada pelo primogênito, cumprem seu desejo ao investigar a história da sua própria vida. Essa mãe deixa como herança e legado verdades a serem vividas e conhecidas.

Translated abstract

The movie Incendies is interpreted in accordance to some important issues for psychoanalysis: questions about the origin; the power of the truth, the psychic transgenerational transmission (silence, secrets, non-elaborated mourning, the work of re-signification and re-construction of the history, the haven of the silence due to the pain and the unspeakable suffering). The author compares the relationship between Jocasta and Oedipus which was based on lies, and the one between Nawal and her lost baby, who was taken away from her womb. This baby, who suffered orphanhood, could only turn out to be someone in life as a torturer or a ruthless shooter. This mother leaves as her legacy the desire to live and to know what is true.
