          Abstract

          Resumen Introducción: La presencia de diversas conceptualizaciones del estigma impiden establecer relaciones entre este concepto y resultados en salud. Una estrategia útil desde enfermería para facilitar la comprensión de términos y sus atributos es el análisis de concepto. Objetivo: Analizar el concepto de estigma estructural en minorías sexuales Metodología: Se utilizó la metodología de ocho pasos propuesta por Walker & Avant. Resultados: Se revisan definiciones de estigma, conceptos relacionados (estigma interpersonal y racismo estructural), atributos, casos, consecuencias del concepto y referentes empíricos. Conclusiones: La conceptualización del estigma permite identificar oportunidades en materia de reducción de inequidades en salud en minorías sexuales.

          Translated abstract

          Abstract Introduction: The presence of diverse conceptualizations of stigma impedes the establishment of relationships between this concept and health outcomes. Concept analysis is a useful nursing strategy to facilitate understanding terms and their attributes. Objective: To analyze the concept of structural stigma in sexual minorities. Methodology: The eight-step methodology proposed by Walker & Avant was used. Results: Definitions of stigma, related concepts (interpersonal stigma and structural racism), attributes, cases, consequences of the concept and empirical references are reviewed. Conclusions: The conceptualization of stigma allows identifying opportunities to reduce health inequities among sexual minorities.
