          Abstract

          This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

          The primary objective is to compare extended early intervention (EEIP) specialised team care to usual community mental health care for the treatment of people with first episode psychosis (FEP). The secondary objective is to compare the effectiveness of EEIP specialised team care to standard early intervention (SEIP) specialised team care (i.e. to test whether there is a dose‐response effect).
