Resumen: En opinión del autor, a partir de 1789, Francia pasó por una serie de cambios sucedidos vertiginosamente en corto lapso: la Monarquía Absoluta, la Monarquía Constitucional, la Convención, el Directorio, el Consulado, el Imperio, la Restauración, los Cien Días y la Segunda Restauración. Cada uno de estos acontecimientos promovió cambios de reglamentación y cambios políticos en sentido restringido; sin embargo, no pudieron dar al país un régimen estable y duradero. En medio de esta caótico acontecer, la historia política francesa registra una breve experiencia que tuvo como virtud el haber sido un primer intento que más tarde conduciría a la forma parlamentaria de gobierno.

Abstract: In author's opinion after 1789, France underwent a series of vertiginous changes in a short period of time: the Absolute Monarchy, the Constitutional Monarchy, the Convention, the Directory, the Consulate, the Empire, the Restoration, the One Hundred Days, and The Second Restoration. Each of these events promoted changes of regulation and political changes in a restricted sense, however, they could not give the country a stable and lasting regime. However, in the midst of this chaotic happening, the French political history registers a brief experience that had as virtue to have been a first attempt that later would lead to the parliamentary form of government.
