          Abstract

          Resumen La antropología de la educación en México se ha constituido desde el siglo XX como un campo de investigación sólido. Los estudios hechos por antropólogos mexicanos o extranjeros que han realizado investigación en nuestro país han abierto diálogos y marcado pautas para el desarrollo del campo en otros países. Paradójicamente, la educación es uno de los temas formalmente menos trabajados en las instituciones dedicadas a la antropología en México. En este artículo reflexiono sobre las posibles causas de esta ausencia y señalo los diálogos correspondientes entre distintas disciplinas mediante las que se construye la antropología de la educación. Argumento que, ante los problemas sociales y educativos que enfrenta México en el siglo XXI, es necesario abrir espacios formales para hacer investigación antropológica sobre la educación desde una perspectiva interdisciplinaria.

          Translated abstract

          Abstract The anthropology of education in Mexico has been established since the 20th century as a solid field of research. Studies carried out by Mexican or foreign anthropologists who have carried out research in this country have opened dialogues and set guidelines for the development of the field in other countries. Paradoxically, education is one of the subjects least formally studied in the institutions dedicated to anthropology in Mexico. In this article, I reflect on the possible causes of this absence and point out the corresponding dialogues between different disciplines through which the anthropology of education is constructed. I argue that before the social and educational problems that Mexico faces in the 21st century, it is necessary to open formal spaces to do anthropological research on education from an interdisciplinary perspective.
