En este artículo se reflexiona sobre el uso de los temas coloniales en varios tomos de la colección Bolivia, su historia. La autora repiensa el concepto de "lo colonial" a lo largo del tiempo y analiza el funcionamiento del Estado colonial a través del uso de la violencia y de los pactos. Así, plantea el tema de las rupturas y continuidades entre distintos períodos y etapas históricas y la pertinencia del uso del concepto "colonial".

This articie óffers some thóughts ón the use of colonial tópics in severai vólumes of the Bolivia, su historia collection. It seeks to rethink the concept of "the colonial" over time and analyse how the colonial State functioned through the use of violence and pacts. This suggests that there were breaks and continuities between historical periods and points to the relevance of using the concept of "the colonial".
