          Abstract

Some of the features of dental changes which aid in the early diagnosis of Burkitt’s lymphoma have been described and discussed together with the pre- and post-therapeutic histological changes. It is suggested, that the high incidence of jaw involvement may be due to the fact that the presence of mature and embryonic dental tissues impart to jaws a different humoral and cellular composition per unit volume than normally found in other bones. A plea has been made for a concerted international effort to elucidate the problem of the high incidence of jaw involvement in Burkitt’s lymphoma. A few lines of investigation have been suggested.
