Abstract

Os poemas que constituem Dispersão têm vindo a ser estudados como um percurso realizado por um sujeito poético em busca de si e da sua obra; num plano mítico e simbólico, essa demanda foi interpretada por David Mourão-Ferreira como a tentativa de Ícaro atingir o impossível, de onde resulta uma queda no abismo. No entanto, o movimento de queda e a insistente demanda possibilitam perceber também a configuração de um sujeito dividido que se conforma com os traços do mito de Orfeu: o contínuo resgate de Eurídice e a sua constante diluição nas sombras não permitem que o sujeito se torne rei de si (ideia coerente com a etimologia de dispersão). Este estudo apresenta, por isso, uma leitura atenta dos poemas de Dispersão, de Mário de Sá-Carneiro, sugerindo uma interpretação do poeta enquanto Orfeu em busca da Poesia perdida nas sombras de si, e que luta por se concretizar.

The poems that constitute Dispersão have been studied as an expedition undertaken by a subject searching himself and his work as a masterpiece; at a mythical and symbolic level, this demand was tested by David Mourão-Ferreira, who saw it as an Icarus' attempt to achieve the impossible, the result being a fall into the abyss. However, the descending movement and the insistent demand allow the understanding of a divided subject that follows the main features of Orpheus' myth: the continuing rescue of Eurydice and her constant loss in the shadows do not allow the subject to become king of himself (this idea is coherent with the etymology of dispersion). This study presents, therefore, a close reading of the poems of Mário de Sá-Carneiro's Dispersão, suggesting an interpretation of Orpheus-Poet in search of Eurydice-Poetry lost in the shadows of himself, struggling for materialization.
