          Abstract

Phacotrabeculectomy yielded similar results to phacoemulsification in primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) in terms of intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering, glaucoma medications and success rates. Although releasable sutures may have reduced the risk of hypotony; complications and interventions were more common with phacotrabeculectomy.
