Investigation on safety perception of men who have sex with men in Mianyang, Sichuan

Abstract

Objective To investigate the status of sense of security in men who have sex with men (MSM), and we provide scientific basis for formulating AIDS prevention and control measures and mental health promotion for this population.

Methods From February to October 2018, the snowball sampling method was adopted, the Security Questionnaire (SQ) was selected to carry out cross-section questionnaire survey and serological test of MSM in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.

Results Totally 1 114 qualified questionnaires were collected with an average age of (28.28±8.92) years. The scores of sense of security were as follows: interpersonal sense of security (29.94 ± 5.68), control sense (28.51 ± 6.20) and total score (58.45 ± 11.23). Low sense of security accounted for 11.22% (125 /1 114), medium sense of security accounted for 61.22% (682/1 114), and higher sense of security accounted for 27.56% (307 / 1 114). There were significant differences ( P<0.05) in different ages, occupations, MSM interpersonal sense of security in local living hours, total score of determining the sense of control and security, and there were significant differences ( P<0.05) in the sense of control and the total score of sense of security among different living areas. The total score of sense of security in patients with positive HIV was lower than that in MSM with negative HIV test ( P<0.05).

Conclusion MSM safety perception is of medium level. Sense of security score is related to demographic characteristics. HIV infection risk with low score is high, so sense of security should be further promoted.

摘要： 目的 通过对四川省绵阳市男男性行为者 (MSM) 安全感的状况调查分析, 为制定针对该人群的艾滋病防控 措施和心理健康促进提供科学依据。 方法 于 2018 年 2—10 月采用滚雪球抽样法, 采用安全感量表 (SQ) 对绵阳市 MSM 进行横断面问卷调查和血清学检测。 结果 回收合格问卷 1 114 份, 平均年龄为 (28.28±8.92) 岁。安全感二个因 子评分分别为：人际安全感平均 (29.94±5.68) 分、确定控制感平均 (28.51±6.20) 分, 总分 (58.45±11.23) 分。低安全感占 11.22% (125/1 114) 、中等安全感占 61.22% (682/1 114) 、较高安全感占 27.56% (307/1 114) 。不同年龄、职业、本地居住 时间的 MSM 人际安全感、确定控制感和安全感总分, 以及不同居住地区确定控制感和安全感总分差异有统计学意义 ( P 均<0.05) 。HIV 检测阳性的 MSM, 其确定控制感、安全感总分均低于 HIV 检测阴性的 MSM ( P 均<0.05) 。 结论 MSM 安 全感属中等水平, 安全感得分与人口学特征有关, 得分低的 HIV 感染风险大, 应进一步促进安全感。
