The patient, 36 years old, had been in the DRC for 8 months, denied any history of residence in any other infectious disease area. A few days after wearing the clothes hanging outdoors, he developed a boil with a central hole in the upper abdomen and right shoulder respectively. Itching is obvious, with central rupture, light yellow exudate, slight pain. General condition is good, systemic lymph node enlargement were not touched. After squeezing the skin around the furuncle, the larvae of the tumbu fly was ejected and the furuncle was healed. Reviewing the epidemiological characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous furuncular myiasis, it is found that it is easy to be neglected, and vigilance is needed.
