          Abstract

          El presente trabajo analiza las características de la brecha entre las agendas mediática y pública en Cuba, a partir la sistematización de estudios previos realizados en el país sobre el tema. Se empleó para ello una perspectiva cualitativa, basada fundamentalmente en métodos como el Análisis-síntesis y el Inductivo-deductivo, que permiten profundizar en el fenómeno desde sus componentes, integrarlos y posteriormente analizarlos en contexto. Luego del análisis realizado a partir de investigaciones sobre agenda setting, es posible observar que existe una mayor relación entre las fuentes institucionales y los medios de comunicación, y baja entre estos y la audiencia, lo que se corresponde con los resultados expuestos anteriormente sobre la brecha informativa. Esta brecha se expresa a través de la disonancia entre los contenidos de las agendas mediática y pública en contextos no electorales, y adquiere características particulares en la realidad cubana relacionadas con su modelo de comunicación

          Translated abstract

          This paper analyzes the characteristics of the gap between the media and public agendas in Cuba, based on the systematization of previous studies carried out in the country on the subject. For this purpose, a qualitative perspective was used, based mainly on methods such as Analysis-synthesis and Inductive-deductive, which allow to deepen the phenomenon from its components, integrate them and later analyze them in context. After analyzing research on agenda setting, it is possible to observe that there is a greater relation between institutional sources and the media, and low between them and the audience, which corresponds to the results presented previously on the informative gap. This gap is expressed through the dissonance between the contents of the media and public agendas in non-electoral contexts, and acquires particular characteristics in the Cuban reality related to its model of communication
