          Abstract

          En este artículo queremos dar cuenta de la trayectoria intelectual de Lola Cendales como pedagoga e investigadora, así como de sus aportes a la construcción de un pensamiento pedagógico alternativo en América Latina. Para la elaboración del texto nos basamos en dos entrevistas previas, en la conversación con Lola durante la construcción del artículo, la consulta documental de las publicaciones de las que ha hecho parte y el diálogo con la abundante bibliografía producida desde la educación popular y la pedagogía crítica.

          Translated abstract

          Neste artigo pretendemos contar a história intelectual de Lola Cendales como pedagoga e pesquisadora, e ainda sua contribuição na construção de um pensamento pedagógico alternativo na América Latina. Escrevemos esse artigo baseados em duas entrevistas, conversas com a própia Lola, por meio de uma pesquisa nas publicações em que Lola foi autora ou das quais tomou parte, e ainda fizemos uso de uma vasta literatura produzida a partir da educação popular, e pedagogia crítica.

          Translated abstract

          In this paper, we want to tell the training story of Lola Cendales as a teacher and researcher, as well as her contributions to Latin America building up an alternative educational thinking. We wrote the text based on two previous interviews, a conversation with Lola as we were writing this document, a documental research of publications where she has contributed and the dialogue with the abundant literature produced in popular education and critical pedagogy.
