Resumo: Neste texto, pretende-se destacar as principais questões referentes às relações de gênero no cinema, apresentando uma análise crítica da participação da mulher, em diferentes papéis, tanto na atuação quanto na direção cinematográfica. A crítica feminista do cinema leva em conta, também, as expectativas do público em um contexto histórico-social, e contribui para a reflexão sobre a postura de resistência de algumas cineastas. São destacadas, ainda, as relações entre as mulheres e o cinema no Brasil, nas décadas de 60, 70 e 80.

Abstract: In this text, it is intended to highlight the main issues regarding gender relations in cinema, presenting a critical analysis of women's participation, in different roles, both in acting and in the cinematographic direction. The feminist critique of cinema also takes into account the expectations of the public in a historical-social context, and contributes to the reflection on the resistance posture of some filmmakers. Also highlighted are the relationships between women and filmmaking in Brazil in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
