          Abstract

Mitochondrial DNA (mitoDNA) deletions have been shown to increase with aging and ischemia and have been suggested to contribute to myocardial dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence and specificity of mitoDNA deletions in coronary artery bypass patients.
