          Abstract

          El objetivo del presente artículo es presentar el modelo de evaluación de centros escolares de educación secundaria que se aplica en la Comunidad Autónoma Vasca (España), el cual que tiene como propósito ofrecer información relevante para instaurar procesos de cambio y mejora institucional en cada una de las escuelas participantes. Se analizan, por una parte, las bases teóricas que subyacen detrás de él y, por otra, los aspectos metodológicos y técnicos más relevantes de esta experiencia. Junto con la descripción del modelo de evaluación se presenta una descripción detallada de las dimensiones analizadas, así como de los procesos de recogida y construcción de las pruebas y cuestionarios que se utilizan, la situación actual y las perspectivas de cara al futuro.

          Translated abstract

          The objective of this paper is to present the school evaluation model that is being applied in different centres of the Basque Autonomous Community. It analyses, on the one hand, the theoretical bases that underlie it and, on the other, the more relevant methodological and technical aspects of this experience. The evaluation attempts to offer relevant information to set up processes of change and improvement in each one of the participant centers. Along with the description of the evaluation model that is being applied, the reader will find in this article a detailed account of the analysed dimensions and the processes of collection and construction of the tests and questionnaires that are being used, as well as that of the present situation and the perspective facing the immediate future.
