The Infection and Immunity Fun Lab at Seoul National University is led by a researcher who emphasises the importance of enjoying your investigations. The team is currently involved in several projects aimed at improving oral health. To date, the team has conducted research on a range of dental infections and diseases. Recent achievements include the development of a novel model for the pathogenesis of periodontitis; the development of a novel model for the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus infection; the investigation of the role of oral bacteria in the development of chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis; and the description of novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for Sjogren’s syndrome.
