          Abstract

          RESUMEN El presente estudio, hecho en el Departamento de Norte de Santander, en Colombia, tenía como objetivo establecer el concepto de calidad de la educación mediante el método de teoría fundamentada. Se implementaron talleres participativos con diversos actores del ecosistema educativo y se aplicaron técnicas de análisis de contenido. El resultado fue un concepto de calidad de la educación basado en seis ejes axiológicos: integración compleja de dimensiones, proceso dialógico, educación como derecho, gestión socioemocional, inclusión de la diversidad y lenguaje inclusivo. Estos ejes están estimulados por los valores del sistema educativo y las necesidades de la sociedad en torno a él. Este concepto no solo redefine la calidad de la educación desde una perspectiva territorial delineando la ruta para la configuración de indicadores de medición, sino que también demuestra la importancia del proceso dialógico en la construcción de elementos ontológicos para la calidad de la educación, que deben ser comprendidos y aplicados por todos los actores del sistema educativo.

          Translated abstract

          ABSTRACT The study conducted in the department of Norte de Santander, Colombia, aimed at establishing the concept of quality of education using the grounded theory method. Participatory workshops were conducted with various actors of the educational ecosystem, and content analysis techniques were applied. The result was a concept of educational quality based on six axiological axes: complex integration of dimensions, dialogic process, education as a right, socioemotional management, inclusion of diversity and inclusive language. These axes are driven by the needs of society around the education system and the values of the system itself. This concept not only redefines the quality of education from a territorial perspective by outlining the route for the configuration of assessment indicators, at the same time it demonstrates the importance of the dialogic process in the construction of ontological elements for the quality of education, which must be understood and applied by all actors in the education system.

          The Discovery of Grounded Theory : Strategies for Qualitative Research

          Most writing on sociological method has been concerned with how accurate facts can be obtained and how theory can thereby be more rigorously tested. In The Discovery of Grounded Theory, Barney Glaser and Anselm Strauss address the equally Important enterprise of how the discovery of theory from data--systematically obtained and analyzed in social research--can be furthered. The discovery of theory from data--grounded theory--is a major task confronting sociology, for such a theory fits empirical situations, and is understandable to sociologists and laymen alike. Most important, it provides relevant predictions, explanations, interpretations, and applications. In Part I of the book, -Generation Theory by Comparative Analysis, - the authors present a strategy whereby sociologists can facilitate the discovery of grounded theory, both substantive and formal. This strategy involves the systematic choice and study of several comparison groups. In Part II, The Flexible Use of Data, - the generation of theory from qualitative, especially documentary, and quantitative data Is considered. In Part III, -Implications of Grounded Theory, - Glaser and Strauss examine the credibility of grounded theory. The Discovery of Grounded Theory is directed toward improving social scientists' capacity for generating theory that will be relevant to their research. While aimed primarily at sociologists, it will be useful to anyone Interested In studying social phenomena--political, educational, economic, industrial-- especially If their studies are based on qualitative data.

              El interaccionismo simbólico y sus vínculos con los estudios sobre cultura y poder en la contemporaneidad

              Resumen: Existe una relación conceptual entre el interaccionismo simbólico y los estudios contemporáneos sobre cultura y poder, el post-estructuralismo y la denominada crítica posmoderna. El interés es evidenciar en qué medida presenciamos un gesto teórico y analítico que introduce la problemática de la política y el poder en clara vinculación con los aspectos culturales, y un orden simbólico propio de las interacciones sociales. De esta manera, el objetivo es sugerir que los heterogéneos estudios culturales, así como la misma crítica posmoderna, se presentan como una suerte de reutilización de perspectivas interaccionistas en la sociología.
