          Abstract

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement within a degenerated surgical bioprosthetic aortic valve is increasing in frequency. We present a rare case of a patient requiring a second TAVR placed within a previous placed degenerated transcatheter aortic valve, which was implanted in a degenerated surgical bioprosthetic aortic valve. ( Level of Difficulty: Advanced.)

Transcatheter Aortic-Valve Replacement with a Balloon-Expandable Valve in Low-Risk Patients

Among patients with aortic stenosis who are at intermediate or high risk for death with surgery, major outcomes are similar with transcatheter aortic-valve replacement (TAVR) and surgical aortic-valve replacement. There is insufficient evidence regarding the comparison of the two procedures in patients who are at low risk.

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Within Degenerated Aortic Surgical Bioprostheses: PARTNER 2 Valve-in-Valve Registry.

Early experience with transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) within failed bioprosthetic surgical aortic valves has shown that valve-in-valve (VIV) TAVR is a feasible therapeutic option with acceptable acute procedural results.

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis can improve long-term survival of nonagenarians as compared to an age- and sex-matched general population

Nonagenarians are at increased risk for morbidity and mortality after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) based solely on their age. The aim of our study was to evaluate survival of nonagenarians with severe aortic valve stenosis (AS) after TAVR as compared to an age- and sex-matched general population.
