          Abstract

          La presente investigación tiene como fin el estudio del bullying o también llamado acoso escolar entre pares. Dicho tipo de acoso ha sido visto por muchos años como algo normal, algo que todo niño debe vivir para poder hacerse fuerte, pero hoy en día se está viendo que estos hechos, lo único que provocan es miedo, angustia, e inseguridades en los niños que a mediano y largo plazo los perjudican en todas sus dimensiones. En esta investigación se hizo un Programa de Intervención en Habilidades Sociales para poder reducir el grado de bullying en los colegios. Dicho programa fue realizado para un colegio particular de la zona sur de La Paz, específicamente para niños entre 11 y 12 años, se eligió esta población porque que es en esta edad en dónde más importancia se le da al sentido de pertenencia a los grupos sociales que se forman en los cursos, por lo que pertenecer o no, puede hacer que la vida del niño en la escuela sea satisfactoria o no. Se tomaron en cuenta a las habilidades sociales ya que estas ayudan a las personas a poder tener las herramientas necesarias para poder integrarse satisfactoriamente a un mundo social.

          Translated abstract

          The present research has as a goal to know more about a type of violence that is not as known in Bolivia as it should be, Bullying, or scholar abuse between children. This type of abuse has been seen for too long as something common, normal, even something that every child has to experience to become “stronger”. Nowadays thoughts regarding this situation are changing because it has been proved that the repercussions of this behavior are not making children stronger, but fearful, distressful, anxious, and so forth, this consequences may cause in the medium or long term, distortion in the child’s human dimensions. Therefore, the present research proposes an Intervention Program in Scholar Social Skills to Reduce Bullying at schools. The program has been prepared for a particular institution in the south of La Paz Bolivia, specifically for children between 11 and 12 years of age. The thought of working with this population sample is because in this age, children pay more attention and give more importance to the sense of belonging to certain social groups conformed at school or in class; that is why belonging or not, can make the difference between being happy or miserable for a student. Finally, is important to say, that this research has been done using the social skills as a base, because these are the tool to confront the world in a better way.
