          Abstract

Adequate anticoagulation is essential to achieve efficient and cost-effective continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). However, in critically ill patients with advanced liver cirrhosis, this goal is challenging because of the concomitant bleeding disorder. Therefore, the evaluation of alternative anticoagulants is necessary.
