          Abstract

Generally speaking, there is sometimes a tendency for people to not adjust unhealthy lifestyles until they directly experience related ill effects. Even then, they will often return to their unhealthy habits or behaviours once the ill effects have disappeared. Associate Professor Ryoko Ueoka is a researcher based in the Faculty of Design, Kyushu University, Japan, who has an avid interest in how technology can help to reduce health complaints. Ueoka wants to implement ways that these habits can be minimised or stopped, and healthy lifestyles maintained, with the help of technology.
