          Abstract

Left atrial appendage (LAA) aneurysm is an extremely rare anomaly. So far, less than one hundred cases only have been reported worldwide. Revelation modes are dominated by complications such as arrhythmias and thromboembolic events. We herein report a pediatric case of huge congenital LAA aneurysm with an original revelation mode that has never been described before in medical literature.

Hiccups (singultus): review and approach to management.

Hiccups are a common, and fortunately usually transient, benign malady. Occasionally, however, hiccups fail to resolve spontaneously, resulting in patient fatigue and incapacitation and the need for the affected individual to seek medical care for resolution of the problem. The approach to the management of these patients consists of the identification and treatment of serious underlying causes of the episode as well as therapeutic interventions to achieve hiccup resolution.

Minimal invasive endoscopic resection of a giant left atrial appendage aneurysm.

We report a case of a 35-year-old male patient who presented with chronic atrial fibrillation secondary to a massive congenital left atrial appendage aneurysm. Minimal invasive endoscopic resection of the left atrial aneurysm with cryoablation was performed. The patient was discharged home in sinus rhythm.
