Identidad Nacional y otredad indígena en la formación del Estado Nación argentino: Una propuesta de lectura (a través) de Martín Fierro

Abstract

Este artículo reflexiona sobre los modos de construcción de la identidad nacional y la otredad indígena durante la formación del Estado Nación argentino. En este sentido, considerando la relevancia que tuvo la obra Martín Fierro, de José Hernández, en el proceso de narrar e imaginar la Nación argentina, ella es repensada aquí a través de nociones como Nación, identidades (e identificaciones), hegemonía y antagonismo con el fin de comprender sus mecanismos significantes y así producir una lectura crítica que no sólo interrogue al pasado sino que interpele también al presente.

This article reflects on the national identity and indigenous otherness construction modes during the formation of the argentine Nation-State. In this sense, by considering the relevance of Martín Fierro in the process of imagining and narrating the argentine Nation, this masterpiece of José Hernández is rethought here, through notions such as Nation, identities (and identifications), hegemony and antagonism,in order to comprehend its significant mechanisms and thus produce a critical reading that interpellates not only the past but also the present.
