          Abstract

          RESUMEN Se tiene por objetivo analizar la relación entre el proceso de desarrollo de habilidades sociales y el uso de las redes sociales realizado por un grupo de jóvenes con discapacidad intelectual de mayor integridad cognitiva pertenecientes al Centro de Formación Integral AVEPANE (Asociación Venezolana de Padres y Amigos de Niños Excepcionales). Se trabajó metodológicamente desde el horizonte cualitativo. Un factor importante del análisis es que para ellos todos sus amigos son verdaderamente amigos; en efecto es tan contacto su compañero conocido, como el no conocido, como su docente o formador, aunque en todos los que tenemos una red social es así, destacamos la horizontalidad no de la red en sí, si no el hecho como ellos no se inhibe en tener de contacto a quien pueda ser una figura de autoridad, lo que también se percibe positivo e interesante (esto lo analizaremos también en las relaciones amistad).

          Translated abstract

          ABSTRACT The objective is to analyze the relationship between the process of social skills development and the use of social networks by a group of young people with intellectual disabilities of higher cognitive integrity belonging to the Comprehensive Training Center AVEPANE (Venezuelan Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional Children). We worked methodologically from a qualitative perspective. An important factor of the analysis is that for them all their friends are truly friends; in effect, their known companion is as much a contact as the unknown one, as their teacher or trainer, although in all of us who have a social network it is like that, we emphasize the horizontality not of the network itself, but the fact that they are not inhibited in having contact with someone who can be an authority figure, which is also perceived as positive and interesting (we will also analyze this in the friendship relationships).
