      Alianças estratégicas internacionais: desempenho e estratégias de marketing

          Abstract

          A estratégia de negócios internacionais de indústrias latino-americanas e a forma como se conduzem suas parcerias com indústrias estrangeiras foram analisadas com o objetivo de se conhecer melhor aspectos como: 1. implementação de uma estratégia internacional bem-sucedida; 2. forma como as empresas conduzem suas relações com empresas de outros países; 3. determinação dos fatores de sucesso dessas alianças de negócios internacionais. A pesquisa integrou um estudo multinacional, desenvolvido com o patrocínio de algumas das mais importantes universidades do Canadá, Estados Unidos, Brasil, Chile e México, e empresas estes três últimos países. Os resultados são apresentados neste artigo, voltado para o desempenho e estratégias de marketing internacional das parcerias, e em um primeiro, que focaliza a formação e estruturação das alianças estratégicas.

          Translated abstract

          Latin American manufacturing firms' international strategy and management of their alliances with foreign companies are analyzed with focus on: 1. implementing a successful international strategy; 2. understanding how Latin American firms manage their relationships with companies from foreign countries; 3. determining the success factors of these cross-national business alliances. This research project integrated a multi-country study sponsored by major universities in Canada, U.S., Brazil, Chile and Mexico, and firms from the three latter countries. The findings are presented in two articles: the first covered the creation and structure of trategical alliances, and this second the performance and international marketing strategies in partnerships.
