          Abstract

          El licor negro es uno de los residuos de las empresas de pulpa y papel, su contenido de ligninas permite su utilización como fase acuosa para la formación de emulsiones O/W. Con el fin de evaluar la estabilidad de emulsiones O/W formadas con licor negro provenientes del proceso de pulpa alcalina y distintas fases orgánicas, se realizaron estudios de estabilidad a sistemas constituidos con licor negro y como fases orgánicas: benceno, tolueno, xileno, kerosén, heptano, y decano. Los resultados obtenidos muestran mayor estabilidad para las emulsiones formadas con fases orgánicas aromáticas que con las alifáticas.

          Translated abstract

          The black liquor is one of the by-products of pulp and paper factory, this waste liquor from the digestions process contains organic and inorganic compounds. The oil/water-emulsions were prepared from the black liquor as the main sources for lignin. Its stability was studied for different organic phases, among: benzene, toluene, xylene, kerosene, heptane, decane. The results demonstrate the major stability for the emulsions with organic aromatic than aliphatic phases.
