Abstract
Inhaled nitric oxide has shown evidence of efficacy in mouse models of sickle cell
disease (SCD), case series of patients with acute chest syndrome, and 2 small placebo-controlled
trials for treatment of vaso-occlusive pain crisis (VOC).
