          Abstract

Fructose consumption can induce insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, which are associated with glomerular podocyte dysfunction and proteinuria. This study investigated whether fructose caused insulin signaling impairment in podocyte dysfunction and injury, and whether curcumin reduced these disturbances.
