Types have been designated and redescribed for the following species: Trichopria mahensis (Kieffer), T. scotti (Kieffer), T. vulgaris (Kieffer) and T. seychellensis (Kieffer). One syntype of T. vulgaris (Kieffer) has been described as T. euvulgaris n. sp. and two syntypes of T. seychellensis (Kieffer) as T. ensia n. sp. and T. percyi n. sp. The holotype of T. salva Sundh. was examined and found to be a new synonym of T. vulgaris (Kieffer).
