            Main article text

In David Murray and Brian Dollery’s article: ‘Institutional Breakdown? An Exploratory Taxonomy of Australian University Failure’ which appeared in Prometheus Vol. 23, No. 4, December 2005, it was wrongly asserted that Deakin University had sought emergency funding from the Commonwealth in 2003. The authors acted in good faith but Prometheus accepts that Deakin University sought no such funding. Deakin University has drawn Prometheus’ attention to its 2004 Annual Report, which contains details of its financial position and standards of corporate governance, accountability, teaching and scholarship.
