            Thirteen May 2022

            It’s a black day

            A dim day

            A day of darkness

            That has crept

            Into hearts of men

            Whose souls writhe

            With fetid maggots

            It’s a black day

            A day of shame

            A day of disgrace

            For the murderers

            Of an innocent journalist

            Who done this dastardly act

            In their routine orgy

            Of theft and killing

            For not only

            Have they murdered her

            But they attacked

            Her peaceful funeral

            Violently beating up

            The mourning procession

            Men, women, and children

            Adding insult to injury

            It’s a black day

            A day of disgrace

            A day of shame

            For the stain lingers

            Not only on those

            Racists who steal Palestine

But also on the USA regime

            That funds their murders

            Facilitates their theft too

            Also on the British

            Who support them

            Supply them with sniper rifles

            To shoot expanding bullets

            Into the hearts and heads

            Of unarmed civilians

            Also the European Governments

            And every other human being

That justify the theft and murder

            Condoning this immoral madness

            It’s a black day

Not a day for pretty verses

            Exquisite rhythm and rhyme

            Home grown philosophies

            Ranting from comfort zones

It’s a day to confront the realities

Of the poor, weak, and dispossessed

            It’s a black day

            A day of shame

            A day of disgrace

            Have you said yes?

            Have you done nothing?

It’s time to stand for truth

            Time to purge yourself

Of the stain of innocent blood

            There is no Israel

            Even if your power

            Your guns and greed

            Says that it is so

            It’s STOLEN PALESTINE

            Nothing can change that

            It’s a confection of Theft

Built on the blood and bones

            Of the dispossessed

            Of innocent martyrs

            Like Shireen Abu Aqleh

            Also countless others

            Today you must ask yourself

If you are part of the inhumanity?

            Today it’s a black day

Today is a day of shame

Today is a day of disgrace

            Your silence and consent

Wets you with shame and disgrace

            It’s a black day

            A day of shame

            A day of disgrace

            A day to weep

            At our inhumanity

            For 75 years

            Of black days

            In Palestine.

            “The land of Palestine bleeds

            The tree of freedom

Watered with the blood of martyrs”
