The Journal of Indentureship and Its Legacies will be published twice a year and the editors kindly request the submission of previously unpublished, scholarly articles (in English) of between 3,000 and 6,000 words and book reviews of 1,000 words. Where appropriate, the team will consider pieces below and beyond these word limits.
Following a preliminary evaluation by the editorial team, each article will be subject to a double-blind peer review. The editors will always aim to respond to each submission in a timely manner. We do ask authors to be aware that the entire process may take up to six months.
The journal will also consider for publication poetry, life-writing and short fiction. In the case of these pieces only, a small honorarium will be paid to the author.
