            Abstract

User Experience Design (UXD) globally remains in the grip of a human-centred view of the world. One in which human actions are predictable and are reliably guided towards consistent outcomes through careful manipulation of signs and signifiers. Human needs and requirements are seen as of overriding importance in the creation of situations where people interact with computers. On MA User Experience Design at London College of Communication we are challenging many of these assumptions through collaborative practices with a wide range of industry partners.
